I’m Matthias Stuber, a German Chef, Nutritionist, Foodie, and the author of the book “Forget Diets! Your Weight Doesn’t Matter But Your Food Habits Do.” Born on November 12, 1983, in Landstuhl, Germany, residing in Bali, Indonesia. My culinary journey began when I decided after the high school graduation and the military service to pursue an apprenticeship as a cook in 2003 in luxury hotel in Frankfurt, Germany.

Since then, I’ve explored flavors and worked in renowned establishments like The Ritz-Carlton, Kempinski, and Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. The journey took me in many countries in the world and most of these inspired my recipes, I am sharing in this blog.

My Life as Chef Matthias

My belief is that food should be a celebration, enjoyed with gusto. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills and crafted dishes that are not only delicious but also healthy. From international luxury hotels to Michelin-starred restaurants, I immersed myself in the culinary world. However, promoting healthy recipes wasn’t my primary focus during this period.

My Life as a Nutritionist

In my thirties, I faced a wake-up call – constant fatigue and alarming blood results, including high cholesterol. My doctor prescribed a strict diet and medication, warning of potential heart issues if I ignored his advice. This was my turning point. Armed with books on nutrition, a deep dive into intermittent fasting, and a study on food and nutrition, I transformed my lifestyle.

This is me today

I embraced the power of Intermittent Fasting, integrating it into my cooking philosophy. This approach, I believe, is one of the best “diets,” allowing the body to reset and heal while enjoying delicious food. The results surpassed expectations – shedding over 7 kg, two sizes in chef jackets, and numerous positive aspects that words can’t encapsulate.

My Life as an Author


After years of working in the hospitality industry as an Executive Chef, I felt the need for a break. I relocated to Bali and finally embarked on the journey of writing my own book and creating this blog. “Forget Diets! Your Weight Doesn’t Matter But Your Food Habits Do” encapsulates my love for cooking and my unique approach to healthy living.
