Why I integrated healthy recipes into my daily life
During my apprenticeship as a cook, I learned a lot of things, but mainly how to cook tasty food for guests starting with basic essentials. I made my experience in international luxury hotels like The Ritz-Carlton and Kempinski and Michelin-star restaurants in almost the entire world. Creating healthy recipes, to improve my lifestyle was by far not my focus at this time.
The nutritional facts of the dishes I created did not matter if they were delicious.
Years later, at the beginning of my thirties, I realized that I was continuously tired and feeling exhausted. “Of course, this comes from the working hours, which can be very long as a chef!” this was my first thought, to say the least.
Moving further, it was more than that, my blood results were shocking. My cholesterol was high, and my doctor put me on a strict diet and wanted to give me medication. Additionally, he made me very much aware of a potential heart attack if his suggestions would further ignored.
One year, a few books about nutrition, intermediate fasting, and being a certified nutritionist later, I changed my nutrition completely wherever I could. Till today I start eating at noon and stop eating at 8 pm. Drinking mainly enough water during the day and avoid sugar wherever I can.
But of course, as a very social person sometimes this routine does not work out every single day, but I always have a ‘revenge plan’ for my habit and lifestyle to keep me on my toes!
The outcome of my nutrition plan was beyond my expectation, I lost over 7 kg of unnecessary weight, two sizes in my chef jackets, and a huge win on positive aspects which I cannot describe in a few sentences.
All recipes are inspired by the travels I made and the career opportunities I took during my career!
Through this blog, I would like to share some of these easy and fast recipes as long as essential pieces of information, which can help you change your habits and to have a self-controlled healthy life.
